30 Oct 2007: GT Computer Architecture has another strong showing at top computer architecture conferences. Two papers have been accepted to ASPLOS 2008, and four papers have been accepted to HPCA 2008.

19 Jun 2007: Nathan Clark (Univ. of Michigan) and Hyesoon Kim (Univ. of Texas, Austin) are joining as new assistant professors starting this Fall, 2007! Clark and Kim add to the prominence and stature of computer architecture research at Tech, and will play instrumental roles in building our presence in the domain of embedded systems and architectures. 26 Apr 2007: Assistant professor Gabriel H. Loh receives an NSF CAREER award for his proposal titled "Computer Architecture Foundations for 3D-Integrated High-Performance Microprocessors."

23 Jan 2007: Assistant professor Hsien-Hsin S. Lee receives an NSF CAREER award for his proposal titled "Introspective Computing: A Multicore Approach to Availability, Reliability, and Security."

13 Dec 2006: GT student Samantika Subramaniam wins the Best Student Presentation award at MICRO 2006.

22 Sep 2006: Two GT comp-arch papers will appear in this year's HPCA 2007 conference, where the overall acceptance rate was only 16%.

14 Aug 2006: Seven GT comp-arch papers will appear in this year's MICRO 2006 conference, representing one sixth of all papers accepted!

20 Apr 2006: Two GT comp-arch papers will appear in this year's ISCA 2006 conference, where the overall acceptance rate was only 13.5%.

19 Apr 2006: College of Computing undergraduate comp-arch student Sashmit Bhaduri wins the 3rd place Judge's Award at this year's UROC research symposium.

15 Feb 2006: GT student Samantika Subramaniam wins the Best Student Presentation award at HPCA 2006.

07 Oct 2005: GT comp-arch researchers account for three of the 25 papers accepted to HPCA 2006 where the overall acceptance rate was only 14%.

30 Sep 2005: GT comp-arch student Fayez Mohamood wins the Best Paper award at 2nd IBM PAC2 conference for his paper titled "DLL-Conscious Instruction Fetch Optimization for SMT Processor", co-authored with Mrinmoy Ghosh and Hsien-Hsin S. Lee.

05 Jul 2005: Assistant professor Milos Prvulovic receives an NSF CAREER award for his proposal titled "Architectural Support for Parallel Execution as a Continuum of Transactions (ASPECT)."
